Come spend a weekend with Shannon Burns, E-RYT 500 at STSY for Power Sculpt Teacher Training!
Power sculpt classes feature high intensity intervals of yoga, weights, and cardio. Cardio bursts will get your heart rate going, upper body strength moves and hand weights will sculpt your arms, and you’ll see tremendous gains in your core strength and balance. Finish off the class with a well-deserved cool down and savasana. The room temperature will be between 80 and 83 degrees and you will need a yoga mat for this class.
You should expect a challenging workout! Yoga Sculpt classes tend to be upbeat and super energetic. Classes are difficult, but not impossible. The feeling of accomplishment that you get after taking a Yoga Sculpt class is incredible.
When muscle meets yoga, Power Sculpt is born. Boost metabolism and build lean muscle mass as you move to upbeat tracks. You’ll combine free weights with yoga sequencing and cardio to intensify each yoga pose while mixing in strength-training moves like squats, lunges and bicep curls.
Upon completion of this training, you will have the tools and knowledge to lead students on the journey to a better self, through cardiovascular exercise and strength training.
Together we’ll fine-tune your skills for effectively teaching a basic Power Sculpt class.
During this 10-hour training, you will learn:
Proper form, sequencing, and cueing for Sun Salutations A and B
Basic class structure
Breakdown of circuits
Introduction to major muscle groups
Proper form and cueing for basic strength and cardio exercises
Safety & common misalignments
Practice teaching
Cool down & Savasana
