Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program is led by Salute the Sun Yoga’s founder and Level 1 Certified Baptiste Yoga Leader, Shannon Burns, E-RYT 500, YACEP, and Nurse Practitioner. She is assisted by Lavon Egleton, E-RYT 500 and a team of experienced teachers and guest lecturers.

Who is this training for?
- Students who are ready to explore a different layer of their yoga/asana practice and are ready to be guided through more complicated postures and the benefits of these postures.
- Students who want to explore the possibility of teaching and guiding students successfully through asana sequences.
- Students who want to deepen their practice, seek self discovery, and authentic connection to themselves and others.

What are the 2025 Summer intensive training dates?
- July 19-24
- August 9-16
- Each day from 8-5 PM
- There will be non contact hours assigned throughout the training.
What is the cost of this yoga teacher training?
Deposit:
Each participant must pay a $600 non-refundable deposit, due by May 20, 2025
Full cost:
Total cost of training is $2600
(Balance of tuition is due six weeks prior to the start of training)

Other details:
- Minimum of 6 participants needed to hold a training.
- Full class participation required and successful completion of all assigned curriculum required to receive certification at the end of the program.
- If any hours need to be made up, student will be charged at $75 per hour.
- No refunds are given 30 days prior to training. Prior to 30 days, a full refund minus the $600 non-refundable deposit will be returned. A credit may be applied to future trainings, but only in a case by case basis.
- You will be required to observe and assist yoga classes as a part of this training; we will work with your schedule but be advised that these additional hours will be required.

In this work to increase the representation of these teachers in the yoga community were taking action by offering full and partial scholarships to members of the Charlottesville community who would like to participate in YTT but need financial assistance.
